CIPP for Small Pipes
CIPP liners are already thin and flexible. Because they have no seams or joints, they enter the host pipe smoothly and easily. Their thinness and flexibility mean that they don’t impede water flow.
When it comes to CIPP for small pipes, you still won’t have to worry about water flow blockages. That’s because CIPP pipes are tailored according to pipe size and flow capacity. CIPP liners for small pipes are even thinner than CIPP liners for average-sized pipes, so they don’t take up a noticeable amount of space.
The drying process also makes a big difference when it comes to CIPP for smaller pipes. CIPP pipes are coated with an odorless resin. Once the tube is inserted, that resin adheres itself to the host pipe. The CIPP tube seals tightly to the outer pipe during the drying process, so you won’t need to worry about the CIPP pipe getting in the way.
What if CIPP Isn’t an Option?
CIPP can be used in almost any pipe. However, in rare cases, CIPP isn’t the best option. In that case, you and your pipe specialist can explore other options. For example, if your pipe needs leak prevention rather than leak repair, an epoxy coating may be enough to restore the pipe to its former glory. Epoxy coatings can expand the life of older pipes, even if those pipes are small.
